CHILDCARE AND BABYSITTING SAFETY
The Child and Babysitting course is designed for young people, ages 12 and over, providing babysitting and child care services. It will be taught by a EAVES Ambulance Services certified instructor who is a professional Emergency Medical Services health care provider. Along with the basic hygienic topics covered, students will also learn bleeding control, spinal protection and how to assist children and infants that are choking. While many experts feel that 14 is generally an appropriate age to begin babysitting, maturity, responsibility, and the ability to react effectively in case of an emergency must always be considered, regardless of age. There will be a small test at the end of the class. Must pre-register!
Please bring a snack, some paper and a pencil or pen.
