**The Town of Geddes Highway Department discontinued the pick up and disposal of resident’s mattresses and box springs (effective December 11th, 2019). This is due to a new $15 fee per mattress/box spring being charged by OCCRA. To find out where and how to dispose of your mattresses please visit OCRRA
Grass Clippings/Leaves Pick-Up
Grass Clippings will be picked up during regular yard waste days from April 1st through December 1st as is the current schedule. All grass clippings MUST BE in PAPER BAGS, CARDBOARD BOXES or a container NOT TO EXCEED 50 lbs. ABSOLUTELY NO PLASTIC BAGS! (Mulching is a better alternative)
All yard waste, other than tree branches, must be in paper bags, cardboard boxes, trash cans. (NO PLASTIC BAGS) – there is a 50 lb limit for barrels and bags Loose raked leaves in wind rows along your front yard(do not put in roadway) will only be picked up from October 1st through Dec. 1st. All other times of the year, rakings must be in paper bags, cardboard boxes,or trash cans. (NO BLUE BINS).
Construction Debris and Bulk
MONDAYS – Lakeland Area and Linbergh Lawns ONLY
All Other Areas will be picked up “ONE DAY AFTER” your regular garbage/trash day.
No more than 3 CUBIC YARDS at one time (Equal to a pickup truck full), year round with weather permitting.
Construction debris is:
Toilets / Sinks / Bathtubs / Shower Doors
Cabinets / Countertops / Sheet Rock / Wood
Doors (Wood & Metal) Windows / Siding / Paneling
Insulation / Roofing / Plywood / Electrical

Superior Waste Removal is the garbage and recyclables hauler for the Town. PLEASE place your trash and recycling out NO LATER THAN 6:00 AM on your day.
Holiday Schedule for 2021
Garbage and Recycling WILL NOT be picked up on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
Fourth of July
The garbage and recycling pick ups on these days will be a day late. If your garbage and recycling pick up is on Monday and the Holiday is on Monday all garbage and recycling routes for the week will be a day late. If the Holiday falls on a Wednesday only Wednesday and Thursday’s route will be affected.
Addendum- if holiday falls on the weekend, the regular Monday-Friday schedule will prevail.
