Absolutely NO mattresses or box springs will be picked up by the Geddes Highway Department.
You can call the trash hauler to make arrangements, there is a cost for pick-up.
Please Note:
**The Town of Geddes Highway Department discontinued the pick up and disposal of resident’s mattresses and box springs (effective December 11th, 2019). This is due to a new $15 fee per mattress/box spring being charged by OCCRA. To find out where and how to dispose of your mattresses please visit OCRRA
All grass clippings and leaf debris MUST BE in PAPER BAGS, CARDBOARD BOXES, barrels or a container NOT TO EXCEED 50 lbs. ABSOLUTELY NO PLASTIC BAGS! (Mulching is a better alternative) – there is a 50 lb limit for barrels and bags.
Tree Branches, brush and shrubs limited to 3 cubic yards at a time. (Back of pick-up truck) NO whole trees.
MONDAYS – Lakeland Area and Linbergh Lawns ONLY
All Other Areas will be picked up “ONE DAY AFTER” your regular garbage/trash day.
No more than 1 CUBIC YARD at one time (size of a washer or two barrels full), year round with weather permitting.

Cabinets / Countertops / Sheet Rock / Wood
Doors (Wood & Metal) Windows / Siding / Paneling
Insulation / Roofing / Plywood / Electrical

Garbage Pickup
If you are a Geddes resident and experiencing a sewer backup please call the Town Highway Department first to determine if it’s Town responsibility or homeowners responsibility. This is a service that the town provides to our residents at no cost.
