Summer Playground Program

The Town of Geddes Department of Parks and Recreation will operate a Summer Playground Program at locations throughout Lakeland, Solvay and Westvale.  All playgrounds will be staffed with Geddes Parks and Recreation staff.

**Please keep in mind the program is not a daycare or babysitting service, and playgrounds close due to rain, inclement weather and conditions.  Most locations also do not have bathroom facilities.

There is no charge for the program, but there is a cost for bus trips and some additional activities setup on the particular playground.  There is no preregistration, but children must register at the playground when they arrive.

Dates: Monday through Friday, July 5 to August 12 (Monday through Friday only)
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lakeland Area:

  • Solvay Middle School
  • Lakeland Park
  • Lindbergh Lawns

Solvay Area:

  • Solvay Elementary School
  • Boyd Park
  • Charles Ave. Park
  • Montrose Park

Westvale Area: 

  • Walberta Park School
    For 2011, there will not be a Playground Program at Cherry Road School, due to the School District’s Renovation Project.  Please visit any of our other locations.
