Bronson Road Updates
Bronson Road Area Updates:
- Work has begun on Bronson Road. It is taking about a day to complete each house. Any questions, feel free to call Mark Kolakowski at the Highway Garage: 488-7705
- County Leg voted to approve the signing of the agreement with the Town. As soon as we have the signed document in hand, we will begin work on Bronson Road.
- Our agreement made it through the Ways and Means Committee this morning and we are moving on to the County Legislature on November 1.
- Manny met with the Environmental Protection Committee today and we are approved through their committee to move forward to the Ways and Means Committee.
- The Agreement with the County will be voted on by the Environmental Protection Committee on October 19 at 10 AM. The Agreement will the be moved to the Ways and Means Committee on October 25 at 8:45 AM. Finally the Agreement will be voted on by the County Legislature on November 1. This information is all per Deborah Maturo in the County Legislatures office, as of October 12, 2011.
- The Town is currently waiting for the County Legislature to approve, and County Executive to sign, the Memo of Understanding regarding funding for Bronson Road. As soon as we receive this, we will begin work.
- At the September 13, 2011 Board meeting, the Town Board will be voting to authorize the Supervisor to sign an Memo of Understanding with the County Executive for financial assistance with Bronson Road. Once this is approved and signed, we will be moving forward with ordering the necessary supplies needed. Any questions, please contact the Supervisor’s Office.
- A letter was sent on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 to Assemblyman Magnarelli’s office, informing them that the Town of Geddes has applied for a grant to assist with the Bronson Road issues.
- There is an item on the July agenda for the Supervisor to request assistance from the County for the reduction of infiltration and inflow. The resolution reads as follows:
Authorize the Supervisor to request technical and financial assistance from the Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection to reduce infiltration and inflow and isolate the houses along Bronson Road from sewer back-ups.
- On Wednesday, June 22 at 7 pm, Manny Falcone held an informational meeting with officials from the County and with Town Officials and Engineers. We are currently researching and obtaining cost estimates on possible solutions for the drainage issues plaguing this area. We understand the urgency and concern amongst the residents and would like to reassure everyone that it is an ongoing project and will not be over looked. As we progress and obtain new information, we will use this website as a means of informing the residents.
