Resolution # 150
Local Law B – 2010 / NYS & Local Retirement Incentive Program – Part A
Councilor Patalino introduced proposed Local Law No. B-2010 A Local Law electing a retirement incentive program as authorized by Chapter 105, Laws of 2010 for the eligible employees of the Town of Geddes which was seconded by _Councilor Valenti_____________________.
WHEREAS, New York State and Local Retirement System has established a 2010 Retirement Incentive Program – Part A that would provide an additional retirement benefit to all eligible employees of the Town commencing on October 1, 2010 for ninety days, and the Town Board of the Town of Geddes desires to enact a local law in this regard; and
WHEREAS, no other agency has the legal authority or jurisdiction to approve or directly undertake the enactment of a local law in the Town of Geddes, such that there are no other involved agencies within the meaning of the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) with respect to the proposed enactment of said Local Law, with the result that the Town Board shall act as lead agency in this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is
RESOLVED AND DETERMINED, that the enactment of proposed Local Law No. B of 2010 is a Type II action and therefore will have no significant effect on the environment, thus concluding environmental review under SEQR; and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Town Board shall conduct a public hearing as to the enactment of proposed Local Law B-2010 at the Town of Geddes Town Hall, 1000 Woods Road, in the Town of Geddes, on August 10, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested on the subject shall be heard.
The question of the foregoing Resolution was duly put to a vote and, upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

Amend Resolution # 145

W-M Engineers is waiting on information from manufacturers to complete the bid package for the elevator replacement at the Town Hall. The original bid opening is scheduled for August 4, 2010. Since the books are not available they are requesting that the bid date and time be changed to Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00AM
A Roll Call Vote was taken. Councilors Patalino, Czaplicki, Valenti, Ryan and Supervisor Falcone voted yes. Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Carried
Resolution # 153
Construct Electric Distribution Line Near Willis Ave Bridge
Motion: Councilor Patalino Second: Councilor Valenti
Authorization for the Village of Solvay Electric Department to construct an electric distribution line in the proximity of the Willis Avenue Highway Bridge.
